About Creel Country Estates

Living in Creel Country Estates

Creel Country Estates is a small residential pocket in Highlands, the unincorporated community in east Harris County just north of Interstate 10. Streets such as Sharondoah Drive, Bonnieville Drive and Cindyrella Drive hold mostly single-family homes built between about 1979 and 1986, many in the two and three bedroom range with generous back yards. Recent listings have noted no HOA, which appeals to buyers who want room for a shop, a pool or a garden without association rules.

Homes here are in Goose Creek CISD, the district that serves most of Highlands. Highlands Elementary, Bonnie P. Hopper Elementary, Highlands Junior High and Goose Creek Memorial High School serve the broader community, and we confirm the exact assignment for every address. Interstate 10, shopping and Baytown are all close by.

Highlands itself has a long story. The community was a stop on the Beaumont, Sour Lake and Western Railway by 1908, opened a post office in 1929 and grew quickly during World War II, when it housed military members and war plant workers. Today about 8,600 people live in the census-designated place, and FM 2100 marks its eastern edge.

For buyers, homes from the late 1970s and 1980s often offer solid bones and room to personalize. We help you plan inspections around roof age, foundation, plumbing and HVAC, and we look at what updates have already been done so you can compare homes fairly.

Highlands sits on the high east bank of the San Jacinto River, and we review flood zone information and seller disclosures for every home we show here. If you own in Creel Country Estates and are thinking about a move, we can show you what your Creel Country Estates home is worth and how to present an established home so buyers see its potential. Our pricing review compares your home with recent Highlands sales of similar age and size.
