About Porter

Porter is an unincorporated community in east Montgomery County, directly north of Kingwood along U.S. 59 / I-69. It gives buyers more house and more land for the money than many areas closer to Houston, while keeping Kingwood shopping and the Lake Houston area within minutes.

Neighborhoods range from established subdivisions such as Porter Heights, Briar Tree and Woodridge Forest, to Oakhurst at Kingwood with its golf course, to newer communities near Valley Ranch, a growing shopping and dining district at I-69 and the Grand Parkway. Acreage and wooded lots are available on the roads off FM 1314 and FM 1485.
