About Highlands

Highlands is an unincorporated community in east Harris County, near the San Jacinto River and Interstate 10 and just north of Baytown. It has a small-town feel, with older homes on generous lots, country properties and a handful of newer subdivisions.

Buyers come to Highlands for space and value. Neighborhoods such as Highland Woods, Highland Terrace and Lakeview Terrace offer established homes, while Creel Country Estates and nearby tracts have acreage. The river, Highlands Reservoir and nearby parks make fishing and boating part of everyday life, and I-10 gives a direct route to Baytown and downtown Houston.
