About Alden Bridge

Living in Alden Bridge

Alden Bridge sits in the northern part of The Woodlands, in the corner of the community framed by FM 1488 and FM 2978. The village opened in 1994, two decades after The Woodlands itself was dedicated, and it carries a name borrowed from the Louisiana hometown of Roger Galatas, a longtime leader of The Woodlands development company. Today it is one of the larger villages, home to roughly 18,000 residents across more than 7,000 homes. Like every village in The Woodlands, Alden Bridge was planned around a central shopping area, with homes fanning out along winding streets, cul de sacs and wooded greenbelts.

What buyers notice first is the parkland. Alden Bridge counts more than 20 parks, and four of them rank among the largest in The Woodlands: Alden Bridge Park, Alden Bridge Sports Park, Lakeside Park and Windvale Park. Across the village you will find ball diamonds, soccer fields, tennis and basketball courts, skate parks, swimming pools and a fishing pond, all tied together by the pathway system The Woodlands is known for. If your weekends revolve around practices, games and long walks with the dog, this village was built with you in mind. Many families find that kids can bike to practice or the pool on the pathways without crossing a major road, which is one of the quiet benefits of how The Woodlands was laid out.

Daily errands are easy because Alden Bridge has two shopping hubs. The Alden Bridge Village Center is anchored by a Kroger, and the Windvale Village Center to the north has a Randalls along with restaurants, offices and banks. Like the rest of The Woodlands, the village was planned so that groceries and services sit close to the neighborhoods they serve. Public schools here are part of Conroe ISD, and we always confirm the campus assignment for a specific address before you buy. For commuters, the village sits a little farther from Interstate 45 than the original villages, and that tradeoff is part of what keeps the northern side of The Woodlands feeling quieter.

Homes in Alden Bridge were built mostly from the mid 1990s onward, so many of them have the open kitchens, game rooms and two story layouts that larger households look for. Some streets back up to ponds, greenbelts or the parks themselves, and we review flood zone information and disclosures for every home we show. When you tour with us, we point out the details that matter in a village this size: how close the home is to the pathway system, which parks are a walk away, and how the street feels during the morning school run.

Many of our Alden Bridge conversations start with a family that has outgrown its first home and needs to sell before buying the next one. Stacy Sherman handles both sides of that move, so the timing of your sale and your purchase stays in one set of hands. If you already own here, we can show you what your Alden Bridge home is worth in today’s market and how a well-planned listing can fund your next step. Browse the current Alden Bridge listings below, then call 832-445-8934 to tour the homes that catch your eye. Because so many households here are moving up within The Woodlands, a well timed sale can be the key that unlocks the next purchase.
