Memorial is the broad area of west Houston along Buffalo Bayou between Loop 610 and the Beltway. It includes Houston neighborhoods along Memorial Drive and the six Memorial Villages: Bunker Hill Village, Hedwig Village, Hilshire Village, Hunters Creek Village, Piney Point Village and Spring Valley Village. The villages are small independent cities known for large wooded lots, custom homes and quiet streets.

Memorial Park, one of the largest urban parks in the country, sits at the east end of the area with running trails, golf and the Houston Arboretum. Memorial City and CityCentre add shopping and dining, and the Energy Corridor and the Galleria are a short drive. Much of Memorial is in Spring Branch ISD, a major draw for families.
